When a company goes into administration they will look to sell off any assets the company owns to pay off their debts. This includes intellectual property. If the game is good enough it could still get purchased. I imagine they have already been down this path when trying to find a new publisher, but at the same time any potential buyer may have known they could get it for cheaper from a the liquidators.
