If the spinoff Kenzan can manage 280k in Japan, I'm sure a full sequel will do a bit better.
Jsut looke at DMC and MGS. The ps3 version of DMC4 rapidly outsold DMC3, and MGS4 is only ~100k behind MGS3.
Yakuza 1/2 sold around 750k a piece in Japan, so 500k+ isn't unlikely for the third installment.
