Oh, Phillips are great to so no worries. I just said that because its a well known fact that you cant go wrong with a Japanese TV (Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, JVC, Toshiba, Hitachi etc). But you also cant go wrong with Samsung and Phillips.

 

I can vouch for that... I have owned a sony for 20 yrs (no issues), sharp for 3 months (died) and now samsung for 2 yrs (read that Samsung uses sony parts, but make better LCD HDTVs - I cant see the difference though)
