It's all just wasted R&D. Lets spend millions to create a brand new proprietary format so we don't have to use the other guys format. Sony is just as bad as everyone else but that doesn't make it a good idea. The blu-ray in the PS3 was just too soon, but next gen it is a perfectly good idea.
