I've never convinced myself that Plasma's were worth the risk for the small quality increase. I'm not an absolute videophile, so a good LCD set that is well calibrated is plenty for me, and much cheaper with very comparable quality. I'm hoping my current LCD set holds out until I can get a decent sized OLED TV which will absolutely blow everything away!
