1080p and 60fps games?

Since the Wii runs at 480 I wouldn't be surprised if there are a ton of 60fps games on that. Nintendo and Sega in particular have always aimed for the 60fps goal in all of their games.

Many of those games have already been debunked. The vast majority of games there either...

1) Are upscaled and not native 1080p

2) Use tricks to feign 1080p

3) Aren't very graphics intensive, which is the underlying factor that allows them to push 1080p (so what the hell's the point of a super high resolution?)

4) Lie to dumb consumers

 

Some examples are:

GT5:P - Lies. It says 1080p, which is only half true. In the "In Car Selection" its full 1080p, but in actual gameplay it is only 1280x1080. The HD standard that is being referred to is 1920x1080 (before our dear friend MikeB jumps in...). Marketing is using the confusion and Buzz words to sell their little game to the uneducated.

1942:JS - Not very graphics intensive. A simple remake of a NES classic on a downloadable service. The fact that the game isn't trying to accomplish pixel pushing allows it to actually make the true 1080p goal. See: "Megaman 9" for more reasoning.

WipEout HD - This game changes its resolution in real time to improve frame rates. Sorry, that isn't what I call 1080p performance. Clever trick though.

Furthermore and most importantly, we wanted to know what runs at 1080p with 60fps.

This has all been discussed in the thread before hand. It's alright though. I don't expect a mouth breathing retard like you to read more than three sentences before making an irrational conclusion.
