Graphics in general aren't really important to the vast majority of gamers.
The fact that the OG Game Boy with its green and black scheme virtually annihilated the Game Gear and its full color scheme should make this pretty obvious.
And really, when has the console that's capable of the most eye candy ever come anywhere near being the market leader?
