I really can't tell, but this Xmas, for the first time, I'm seeing in Italy PS3 advertised as a console that's also a good BD player.
Obviously the effect desired by Sony was synergy, and as BD won format war, up until now it's BD that had the single most recognizable bigger benefit, maybe now Sony wants to gather some and BD to give, but they should admit that what most damaged the desired sinergy, at least on PS3 side, were high launch price, scattered launch and blue lasers shortages at launch time, right when the most enthusiast technophile early adopters were most eager to spend, when it was an absolute novelty.
