...When did it become acceptable for members to set up rules concerning their own threads?
I understand the need to celebrate a great library, but are arbitrary rules necessary? Should they be followed? If they're enforced, is that fair? Are members, rather than the administrative staff, allowed to dictate the boundaries of conversation?
This topic will be very troublesome, and this matter will lie at the root of it.
