I listen to reviewers, but I disregard their individual opinions. I just glean whatever facts I can from the review about the game itself. I remember I used to only read PSM because I already had all the good gamecube games, and they reviewed Shinobi with like a six or a seven, but that game was damn fun, I'd have totally given it an eight, slightly higher if the game had been nice enough to include checkpoints ONCE in a while. And I always thought a button masher was a game where you could just mash buttons randomly and actually win. I tried that with Heavenly Sword, and the only time I did was the only time I ever died. The enemies block all the time, you have to hit them while they're attacking or counter them. Also if you button mash you only get like two combos, and you have to switch styles all the time, so you can't transition properly unless you know how the combos work.
