I run linux on my file server and my 2 spare machines, but my main computer still runs XP...mostly because I don't like to fidget with getting games to work, but also because 99% of my data is on my file server so when I need to re-install its a quick process.
I agree there are many flavors of linux that are hands down better than windows when it comes to all of the points you mentioned but I think it will be another few years before we are to a point where developers start supporting linux builds out of the box with their games and once we reach that point I will gladly and freely switch all of my computers to Linux.
