FFVI:
The Floating Continent - The world explodes - The heros lose - I thought I lost the game - New beginning
SIMPLY AWESOME!!! 
FFVII - Not a WTF exactly, but when Cloud makes his speech about how he doesn't care about saving the world and just wants to kill Sephiroth, I thought it was pretty cool. NOt so cliched.
