DGC-bad advice for a first step.
OK, BSOD errors are reported in the event log. Right click on "my computer", and select "manage". Expand system tools, event viewer, and select "system". Look for the time of the last BSOD, and there should be an "error" report. This will give you some more details, somtimes what driver it was, if it is a driver. There is also a stop error. You can search the net for that, see if you get anything.
Often BSOD's are caused by bad memory. You can download memtest86, and run a memory scan.
