I think the fact that people are trying to pull in player reviews to justify Lair's score is a little bit sad. If you like it, fine. I am sure there are a lot of people who enjoyed Red Steel, myself included.

Lets apply the same logic to Red Steel.

Red Steel: A Gamer's Hands-on Review:

Eric J. gave it a 9:
Game is under-rated, once you get use to the controls its so fun and engaging. I love those massive firefights with bullets smashing glass, boxes, cars and more! Its a whole heap of fun, and it feels like your playing in an action movie, hope they make a sequel... people that dont like the controls really need to spend a bit of time with it, my system is fine, using the control scheme is second nature for me now in this game, very very enjoyable!

I don't understand why some people don't like it, ok the sword fighting lets it down, but frankly this is only because the rest of the game is so good. Red Steel is entertaining game that is in my opinon the best shooting game on the Wii, and it will take a seriously good game with an even better concept to take this away from it, in fact I'm not expecting this to happen unless a sequal is released.

"Underappreciated" 9.0
Redsteel for the wii is definietly one of the most underated games. Redsteel has a very fun and long story mode but it is very, very hard. The story mode is about stoping japanese communists .In redsteel u can do multiplayer mode for up to 4 people. You get to pick a character, a bonus, and a selection between 4 different boards. Redsteel for the wii is one of (if not) the best multiplayer game for this system. This game uses the wii mote and nunchuck for an intense gameplay. This game will be fun, with, or without friends. I highly recommend this game to all wii owners..

What I am trying to say is that, no matter how badly a game is scored, there always seem to be people who enjoy it.

While many fanboys would argue that all Wii games are crap because of the scores they recieve, they fail to realize that there are people out there who enjoy the game.

What has been happening with Wii games is now occuring with PS3 games. They are being reviewed badly/being given mixed reviews. Does that mean that people still won't get the game, because they believe they will enjoy it, despite the low reviews? Absolutely not.

Now, PS3 fanboys out there, how does it feel to be on the other side?
