OR

We're in a recession and a lot of companies are on the brink of going under. And because there are so many gaming companies out there and a lot of them produce moderately crappy games that sell decently to pay for their amazing games, which aren't doing amazing, they are going under. I see these companies failing even if they release great games on the Wii. It's just the way that this generation is going. Unless it's got Nintendo, Sonic or Casual written on it for the Wii, there are very few games that can even hit a million.

lol, thats it blame the recession while we are seeing record sales. NO it is miss management.

Even the 360 is doing better in the recession than it did last year. Games sales are great too, it just comes down to FPS saturation. Example, I am only gonna buy 1 FPS this holidays season, I like to many genres to spend all of my time on them, I have a PS3, I bought CODWaW. So all other FPS games will not recieve a purchase. The next FPS game I buy might be the conduit for the Wii (if it is good). But right now I am hungry for some RPG, Adventure, and Platform games, and there really are not too many to chose from ( I am playing tos2 right now and loving it)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
