It's sad the parents were actually trying to be good parents here (and still think they did the right thing), they just have a messed up kid.
I don't really put the blame on video games in this one, the kid is just bat shit insane. I read somewhere yesterday or the day before the lawyer was trying to blame video games but his case seemed pretty thin and like he was grasping for straws.
It's pretty clear he had been planning this for a few weeks in that he told people he was thinking about it and the fact he really wanted to make it look like a double suicide. If that's the case Heathers is just as likely a candidate as Halo 3.
