i somehow remember Gears 2, Banjo, Fable and a few others getting hype. The Wii is the most left out of the hype monster... Save for a few cult games like NMH, and Tales.... The only huge hyped game was Brawl (and it was huge). The hype for MKWii came AFTER launch, which means it was not caused by gaming site, but the people who played it and told all of their friends how much fun it was.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
