at first i thought this idea sounded really dumb. but then i thought about it for a minute and it could actually be super fun. have a bunch of different locales from different mario games, have all the power ups like fireballs, starpower, mushrooms that acts like body armor, 1ups, racoon tail/cape for flying so you could fly over people attacking from the air for a brief period of time, could have bullet bill guns that act like homing missiles, a hammer brothers weapon, metal mario powerup to make you invincible for a few seconds, ice power-up to freeze people for a couple seconds and blast away.
as long as it wasn't made too kiddie it could be awesome. if it was a serious shooter but just without the blood and violence and with the normal mario atmosphere and charm. and simple enough controls so that casuals could at least easily figure out how to play it.
also online it would definitely be team based since its painball and would use wiispeak. up to 4-players on one system with like 16 player paintball matches.
i'd probably buy it.
