Last gen the best performing title had vastly outsold it's comptetion and held the majoirty of developer support , if XBOX and GC fans complained and where upset by this then fair enough.
PS3 fans haven't really been affected by underwhelming performance of the PS3 , there's still the quality 1st party blockbusters + the majority of 3rd party releases . The only party involved really affected is Sony .
