Warhawk and Lair were supposed to be good but they were never said to be blockbusters AFAIK except by the forum freaks like Killzone 3 who desperately need ammo for the Sony Defense Force guns which will be running pretty dry until 2008 hits. Yea im trying to say it to all the fanboys who said, somg we got AAA games coming out like 360 and wii! somg ps3 gonna own da world.
Hmm i think HS and lair were not going to be AAA but very deep AA, and they were supposed to help combat the drought of ordinary game and be actual good games and they turned into a little better then average. I think the only chance they have of even coming close to AAA is possibly warhawk very small chance, folklore looks ok, and uncharted and ratchet, thats it.
Rather sad when wii and 360 have some def AAA coming out and a whole bunch that could easily be AAA but will def be AA
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
