MGS published several damned fine games this year. Are you honestly comparing that SCE list - full of add-ons and PSN games - to Fable 2, Lost Odyssey, Gears 2, Banjo-Kazooie, etc? You can disagree with Edge's choice but there's definitely valid reasons for picking MGS as publisher of the year.

As for "best hardware", I have no idea what their reasoning is for that category to even exist. Unless it's "best overall game selection based on platform", I don't even know what the hell it means.

I cant list PSN games because they dont count, so WIPE OUT HD, RATCHET AND CLANK QFB, etc... shouldnt be listed.

I do disagree with MGS getting best publisher of the year, and wtf did EA do besides Dead space and Mirror's edge?

My point is that you have no complaints whatsoever about LBP cleaning up - something that the game hasn't really done up to this point - and then you bitch about anything on the list that's non-Sony. Appreciate Edge for acknowledging greatness from one of your *obviously* favorite games of the year and leave it at that. MGS was one of the finest publishers in 2008, there's no doubt about that. I also forgot they published Ninja Gaiden, BTW. They had a pretty stellar year. Let them have their award and don't begrudge the fact that Sony didn't win everything.
