first of all what i meant with it was that the textures are good enough for a current gen game. Only thing it would need would be higher polygon models and more effects (bump/normal maps, specular.. bloom maybe)
Secondly by quadrupling it you are putting 16 times the load on the machine as quadrupling it is actually having 16 times the pixels.
