I have been saying all year that a price cut in 2008 was out of the question because Sony was trying to ensure a profit this fiscal year. Well, if this article is to be believed then we may not see a price cut for PS3 until *maybe* late 2009. As they may by further off than I thought on making profit from the PS3 hardware. I figured they would be about par by now.

One think I have always had an issue with Sony is its pricing. In regards to the PS3, its fair, it just has too much in it. In regards to other Sony products its a rip off.

Take their LCDs as an example. For awhile now Samsung has been producing their LCD screens, yet Sony sells a the same size tv with less features for more than the Samsung model. Its just ridicules and that is why Sony has been losing market share for years.

They built themselves up on lower priced, quality goods. Once their name was popular they started killing it off by over-priced average products.
