People should just stop rating games based on their length... when you go to the movies you don't question the fact you pay exactly the same price for 1h30 or 3h00 of entertainment, and the 3h00 long movie isn't necessarily the best of the two.  Same with books.

So length cannot be considered by any means a criteria of quality.

Why should Gameplay score be prevalant upon story ? If some people like to play games with lack of storyline and dull characters it's their choice, but how many people like story driven games ? FF Anyone ? FF are the most frustrating and repetitive games out there but people love to play them 'cause they are thrilled every time they get to see another cinematic or get to learn a little more about the story and the characters. A game it's not all about gameplay and length, it's also about immersion and entertainment.

Uh, Games all cost the same.  Movies all cost the same.   Reviewers complain when games are to short or too long.  Reveiwers complain when movies are to shortor too long.  So... what are you talking about?

Story would be part of "Lasting Appeal" i imagine.  Reveiwers have complained about the story.  Also... not rating a game on length is lunacy.  If they released the Heavenly Sword Demo as the heavenly sword game would that deserve the same rating as the full game?

What people don't seem to have gotten (by not reading the reviews) the reviewers have both complained that it was...

 A. Not long enough .

B. Not varied enough.

Not only is the game short.  But the enemies and battles repeat themselves too much because there isn't much enemy variety.  Is having 4-5 types of grunts really acceptable?  Isn't it an amazing sign that a game can get a 7 when it's considered both short and repetitive?
