First, this is what Best Buy's circular looks like this week.

Awesome, eh?

Our store received several dozen Wii's late last week in order to stock up for this weeks ad. The sale started on Sunday. By Sunday evening, my Best Buy was out of Wiis.

And not just Wiis. We're out of Wii Fit, Mario Kart, and Guitar Hero: World Tour (both the Guitar Kit and the Band Kit). I just don't understand how they sell out so fast, especially since we're never out of the other two consoles.

Unfortunately, we won't be getting another shipment 'til Wednesday. I know it's anecdotal, but I think it's safe to assume that we'll see a Wii-concentrated top 5 this week and another extremely high number or units sold, probably second this season only to the Black Friday week.

What do you guys think about how fast the Wii is selling and how that affects supply/demand, particularly when Wii development is upwards of 2 million units a month? I don't think there's much surprise when it comes to software, but feel free to share your thoughts.

Any thoughts on the circular and Best Buy's knowledge on how to make money?
