Because there is 1 FFXIII 2 Versus(just as big as a main series title, so might as well consider this FFXIV, then we have agito and 3 more unannounced title. The first two games I mentioned have been in developement for about 5-6 years now. Most of the time square enix starts the next final fantasy before the one before it was released, but I doubt they are doing that right now with all of the games they are developing in the Final Fantasy series, and tons of other series. We will be lucky to see FFXIV at the launch of the console(s) it will be on imo.
@Seraphic Actually FFXIII, and Versus were going to come out for the PS2 and started developement in 2003, but were delayed cause they thought the PS3 was necessary hardware wise. FFXIII was suppose to be released close to the launch of the PS3 if I remember correctly.
