I was just thinking about this topic the other day! Seeing as though i missed the wonderful snes controler :( personaly, I would have to say the wii controler with the nunchuck attached.
I used to like the GC controler the best, even though it looked really kiddy, but I was comparing it the other day to the 360s and realised the 360 fits perfectly in my hands and everything is at a perfect reach. the ps3 controler doesnt account for my little fingers :( so their left in a kind of, gripping thin air, position lol and the buttons are off a little. GC controler was PERFECT for soul caliburs button configeration! but just feels a little silly now :(
So I would say
1 -Wii
1.5 -360 (best conventional controler)
3 -GC
4 -PS3
