I love this argument. This argument comes from people who own at least two or all three systems this generation. The reason this argument comes up is that most people that own both a PS3 and a 360 tend to buy multiplats on the 360. Of course if you buy a game for a system you are not going to buy it for the other. Leaving less games. Now the PS3 had a number of exclusives in 2008. I ask though how many of those exclusives were kick ass no doubters? I have both and the only exclusive I purchased in 2008 for my PS3 was MGS4.

Well so far I've bought MLB 08:The Show, MGS4 and LBP, eventually I'll buy Resistance 2, Motorstorm:PR and Valkyria Chronicles...all really good games from different genre's.  To me that's a pretty solid year if I buy 6 exclusives from a year.

Then there were other quality titles such as Siren:Blood Curse, GT5: Prologue, Wipeout HD, Hot Shot Golf:OoB and Naruto:UNS which I likely won't buy but are consensus good games.

That's a pretty good year for Exclusives for the PS3

EDIT: You could also say that SOCOM:Confrontation is a good game, but awful server issues severely hampered the game. (have those been fixed yet?)
