what an excercise in pointlessness. Penny Arcade put it best "this is what happens when you let your marketing department make a game". There is no discernable purpose for me to go into the Home program seeing as how it essentially does with the XMB does but with waaaaaay more load time. I guess I can't play cheap browser games like "bowling" in my XMB, so it has that going for it....then again I probably won't be able to do that in home either.
The whole thing feels like an surreallistic post modern nightmare world. Everything is sterile and emotionless...and quiet...so quiet. Last night I'm told to join the all night dance party out in the plaza, so I decide to leave my silent, overly clean, uber modern apartment to go join the rave. I walk out into the plaza, it's eeriely silent, and it's filled with ghosts wandering aimlessly, a man sits next to a fountain staring straight ahead with a blank expressionless face, and a lone fat guy with a mohawk does the running man. I halfway expect to just start hearing "number nine....number nine......number nine......number nine....." followed by an explosion (beatles fans get the reference). WOW.
It's wierd, boring, pointless. I'm sure somebody somewhere will have fun with it, hell a community will actually form. But keep in mind EVERYTHING will form a community if it's free and readily available. That doesn't mean it's not a surrealistic nightmarish postmodern hellscape.
Edit: Fuckity fuckerstein....wait, twesterm has a kim possible avatar, that's why he wins....fuck
