@Zim: Thank you, that's a helpful post.

@S.T.A.G.E.: Here, I'll make a more clear comparison. I should've probably made my own seperate thread for this, because people are so misinformed at what games the Japanese seem to like (according to sales, anyway). I put future releases at the end and in italics, let me know if I left something out.

Main Japanese X360 exclusives: Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, Infinte Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Dead or Alive 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Star Ocean 4, Blue Dragon 2

Comparable last gen games:
Tales of Rebirth (best selling tales) - 0.59m, Tales of the Abyss (second best tales) - 0.57
Dead or Alive 2 (best selling DoA) - 0.38m
Ninja Gaiden - 0.07m (PS3 version sold 0.09m)
Star Ocean 3 - 0.55m
All other JRPG's not named FF/KH/DQ/MH are below 0.47m.

Main Japanese PS3 exclusives: Hot Shots Golf 5, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Metal Gear Solid 4, Yakuza Kenzan, Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3, White Knight Chronicles, Final Fantasy XIII/v, Gran Turismo 5

Comparable last gen games:
Hot Shots Golf 3 - 1.39m, Hot Shots Golf 4 - 1.34m
Metal Gear Solid 2 - .87m, Metal Gear Solid 3 - .86m
Gran Turismo 3 - 1.89, Gran Turismo 4 Prologue - 0.79m, Gran Turismo 4 - 1.16
Yakuza 1 - .74m, Yakuza 2 - .75m
Final Fantasy X - 3.02m, Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.41m, Final Fantasy XII - 2.42m

FFXIIIv will most likely place between main FF's and KH, so
Kingdom Hearts 1 - 1.24m, Kingdom Hearts 2 - 1.16m

The 360 games are trumped in popularity by nearly every PS3 exclusive, except Blue Dragon, which is hard to measure. Anyway, Eternal Sonata, a decent sized JRPG, was a timed exclusive for the 360. When the game became availible for PS3 owners (you know, those biased Japanese), the sales showed how little they cared about it. JRPG's are simply not as important as people think they are, and it's all the 360 has.
