Halo Killer is a made up name that was started by PS2 fanboys...
The xbox's biggest (and one of the few) success's was the introduction of the Halo series, and ever since PS2 fanboys have been craving for an equivalent on their platform. Many PS2 games have been labeled "Halo Killer" but have all fallen flat.
Today, PS3 fanboys are still looking for their own FPS which would equal or best the Halo series. They prophesize every new FPS has a Halo Killer hoping that one day their dreams come true.
So basically Halo Killer is a term now used by PS3 fanboys to hype a PS3 exclusive.
