I do agree that the 46x0 series looks very good. The 4670 and the 8800GS have similar performance and I would go the 4670 since it uses less power. However, I the 8800GS for about $25 CAD cheaper. I am not in a hurry since the cards I saw were not on sale and the MIR is good until the end of the year. I might be lucky and see a boxing day special.
BTW - I don't upgrade often enough to justify spending extra for future upgrades (I've wasted enough money to realize this). By the time I upgrade the rest of my PC (1+ year from now) the low to mid-range video cards will be far better than these offerings.
