@Halo rated M. Ok you got me there :P I just figured it was teen because I could swear I heard no profanity, and well blood >_>;;; umm not much of that either ._.;;;

LOLOLOLOLOL @ Selnor. So your good at Halo, and were instantly good at COD4, BF2, and Bad company???? Other pretty standard FPS's? Good to know :) All those games polish pretty standard gameplay :/ I'm pretty sure that re-states what I was talking about earlier.

It's not about "getting" anything Selnor. You get 8.5 million people on board ANYTHING with multi-player and guess what. You've got a fanbase -_-; this isn't a hard concept. There is nothing "mystical" about Halo. I have been to households where they have 4 gamecubes setup, 6 Wii's and a ton of TV's where it's been non-stop Melee/Brawl action :P You want to talk about a community, just ask Nintendo fans, they've been living in one for eons :) Now why do you think the Smash series is so popular? Easy to pick up and play, and everyone can have a good time with it. I LOVE the smash series, it's awesome side scrolling fighting, without my uppercut being forward, down, diagonal forward punch >_>;

I don't care how much you love your halo, and how amazing of a game you think it is, but what defines it as a game is very basic, your just talking about aspects that have to deal with the people playing it, not the game itself, and well most of that has to do with mass amounts of people.

I mean I don't mean this as an ass statement, but can you name me one gamebreaking mechanic that really set's Halo apart from the others? I mean seriously. I'm not saying that to be a dick :P My time with halo didn't reveal any such quality and as such I'd love to know :)

Your talking mechanics. 8 years ago I would have said mechanics could be changed. In games over 2000 onwards mechanics are merely improved. So I agree there, there isnt any new mechanincs, just perfecting mechanics. So the arguement you use for me would apply to any new game. KZ2 for instance doesnt do anything new from 1. Except improve the mechanics we have already experienced. So thats my point.
