The GC was my favourite console for last gen - and would have scored 95% of my playtime. The reason, is that I love Nintendo games (gameplay, etc..). What the Wii adds is "proper online" (the GC never really went online at all), more accessible controls (my partners 65yr old mother was over again last night, and we had a blast teaching her to play golf) ... and various technical improvements (better gfx, better sound, etc). If the Wii was simply an "updated" version of the GC - Im sure I would have still bought it. But if Nintendo would not be developing games for it, then probably not. So in short - I'll buy whatever hardware/platform Nintendo develop games for (as long as they maintain their standards).
