Hey stof, I think the game should be fine if you give it a couple days to dry out.
I about killed our cat one day. I had my wife's DS and my DS charging on the kitchen counter over night. Well, next to them, was a full glass of water. My wife placed it there, and forgot about, before going to bed. During the night, my cat knocked it over, and I woke up to both our DS's soaking in about a 1/5" of water. I picked them up and water was draining out of the cracks. So we let the DS's dry for a week before we turned them on. Mine worked absolutely fine. My wife's works fine, but loses system memory every time it's turned off.
