The mouse is definitely the best interface device since the invention of the remote control, though I prefer its mutant cousin the trackball (especially wireless trackballs). Not until the Wii Remote came along was it surpassed, and even there, most of the improvement comes from combining the best features of the previous best interface device ever (remote) with the best features of the mouse. Go figure!
