I have that 8600GT, works gr8 and can play CoD4, Fallout 3, CS:S, Hl2, so most of the older games but less newer games.

I would recommend a 4670: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127383

Gr8 power and you dont need any extra pci-e power connectors to the 4670, just plug it in and should work with ur 300W PSU. This is my best suggestion, and it runs in the new ATi architecture. 512 MB, 128-bit, 320 stream processors, your best card.

Other recommendations, read this article (and look how the 4670 did) : http://techreport.com/articles.x/15559

Thanks for the suggestions, however, I'm in Canada and since our dollar tanked computer components are expensive again.  The 8600GT costs $100.99 CAD compared to $79.99 USD on NewEgg's site.  It's still not a bad deal with the $40 MIR but I can get a 8800GS (which is slightly better than the 8600GT) for the same price.  The 4670 is another card I would like but again the CAD price is $21 higher plus the MIR is not valid in Canada.

NewEgg Canada also likes to charge $15+ for shipping plus I would still need to pay GST + PST (13% sales tax).  I was interested when they opened up in Canada because of their great deals in the US, but the Canadian site is a ripoff.
