Sure, it's a beta and I'm sure that it'll eventually have beards. However, I'd suggest that making an avatar that's recognizably you will be extremely difficult, compared to simpler representations such as Miis. I've never had a problem recreating likenesses with the Mii system. On my brothers 360, it wasn't so difficult, but I certainly felt more constrained, perhaps again by the greater detail in the images. The Avatars just weren't as *obviously and instantly recogizable* us as our Miis are, and this is most likely due to the fact that the Miis are really just caricatures. I suspect that Sony will have an even more difficult time representing someone with their system simply because of the greater detail.
