@Jereel, Yes the shielding mechanics make it way more of a casual fest to me then anything :P My friend was playing the game, and he got a shotgun to his body at almost point blank, he lived through it long enough to turn the corner xD His shield regenerated and the match went on just fine :P Dying from getting looked at strangely can make the game a very frustrating experience, having essentially no safety on makes every shot matter. I've emptied clips into people before in halo and had them not die xD

Warhawks has little to do with speed an or reflexes :P The person with the most kills is rarely the person with the most points, knowing which areas are occupied with people, knowing which vehicles to use to take over bases, knowing where to lay traps to ambush people with flags, "knowing" the pace of the match is crucial. Warhawk isn't a game that got popular through it's death match modes. Whereas I could definitely argue that it's a favorite in Halo. In most FPS's, the person with the bigger gun is a landslide winner, in warhawk, you'd be amazed at what you can do with a knife :) Staying off the radar will net you so many usefulness points. This is a VERY vehicular centralized game. And picking favorites is still fun, but sometimes extremely to your disadvantage. Outsmarting your opponent is where I find the most fun with this title ^^

I find that most of the features Halo has to offer, are generally there to make it more customizable for the overall experience yes, but that experience is what's lacking to me. Halo is not alone with this style of classic gameplay, there are many franchises I just don't have a taste for because of it, but what makes it such a great seller is the fact that it's so accessible. Halo by it'self has to stay simple, it has to be playable by anyone who picks up the controller, it's not really allowed to try anything too risky, and because of that I simply find it boring. The moment you alienate some of the people playing by putting in a more complicated game mechanic, the less you'll manage to sell in the long run :P Halo is a game that will add TONS of "safe" features to a game to make it more appealing, and that's not a bad thing :) Just... safe :P
