LOL. but serously, sony has dominated 2 gens in a row with the PS1 and PS2. im pretty sure by now they know wat they are doing. the ps3 is build to make a big payoff, it seems right now ppl sometimes lose hope, but i still believe sony is too well established to go down without a fight, and they will at least manage to get 2nd this gen if MS had to make several price cuts this year alone, it goes to show how desperate they are trying to hold off sony. let alone despite having the cheapest console in the market, it still haven't gotten close to the wii which still hasn't had a single price cut yet and was released a year later. the only thing thats holding sony back is the fact how much the ps3 cost to make, once the slim comes out, by then all the AAA titles will be out, and MS won't stand a chance |
Well it is pretty certain Sony are not, ever going to make back he money they have lost with the PS3... given that the PS division as a whole has lost $3-4 billion, if you take out the PS2 and PSP profits (albeit small profits for PSP) the PS3 has likely lost in excess of $5 billion if not more.... and it's a slow process just getting to being profitable on a quarterly basis, never mind over the generation.
