I love the way the article uses company's who have obviously sided this gen with MS as examples. Square Enix and Capcom are well and truely MS supporters now. Why? Because they are not stupid enough to lock themselves out of potentially 25m customers. This is the thing this article doesn't quite grasp, the PS3 is 3rd, it does not have the bargaining power that the PS2 and PS1 had. Those 2 consoles could demand games to be exclusive. This is the gen of multi-platform and no company will risk financial suicide by going exclusive just to help out a console. Look at Resistance 2 sales. A game that supposedly cost £50m to make. It has had pretty dire sales and doesn't looklike it will break even. If it was multi-platform it would of made profit. And that is how it is. Games cost so much to make that by going exclusive could potentially finish off your company, especially by supporting the one with the least sales. Stupid article.
