We alread have another thread for predicting end of 2009 hardware sales for consoles.

This thead is for your other gaming predictions for 2009.

Get out your crystal ball and gaze into the future.  When is the next price drop?  Which games will flop?  Who will win E3?  Which multiplatform games becomes exclusive?  Is it finally the year of the PS3?

Make you predictions before 2009 starts, and come back a year later to laugh at how wrong everyone.

I will go first:

2009 Predictions

360:
- 360 hardware redesign by Fall. (360 Slim)
- $150 Arcade by Holiday 09.
- "XBox Sports" title is launched with 10 games for you avatars, possibly with motion controller.  (Including:Tennis, Golf, Pool, Kart Racing)
- Microsoft buys at least one Japanese development studio.
- E3 will be very heavily casual focused.  Expect a Home/Animal Crossing like game for Live.
- Halo Wars = 1.5M,  Halo 3:Recon = 6 Million by end of year


Wii:
- Wii Price drop to $200 US coming in Fall.
- Updated model with more internal storage space.  (2GB)
- WiiFit passes 25 million by years end
- Wii Sports Resort 15 million by years end.
- New Zelda game for Christmas supporting Wii motion Plus
- Surprise Wii titles include:  Nintendogs, a GTA spin-off, Wii Fit 2, Zack & Wiki 2, and a Professor Layton game for the Wii
- Non-nintendo published 90+ metacritic rated games in 09: Zero.
- Nintendo goes through a whole year without announcing a new Wii peripheral!
- Conduit = 2M by end of the year
- Wii Music = 6M by end of year


PS3:
- There will be a price drop before summer.
- $299/$399 PS3 for Holiday 09.
- Netflix or Blockbuster video steaming.  (And integrated into Home)
- LBP will be heavily bundled.
- GT5 will be released in 09.  FFXIII will not.
- Killzone 2 = 4M by end of year.


Other
- KH3 announced for PS3/360 (In a E3 bombshell, it is a timed exclusive for 360)
- No MGS4 for 360
- Star Ocean 4 for PS3
- Fable II for PC in Spring.  Gear 2 PC by year's end.
- MS tries to compete with Steam.  Expect Avatars and many XBLA games to appear on Live for Windows.
- Steam for Linux announced
