Depends on what you like more.
Super Mario Galaxy is an extremely polished game with more time, money, and care put into it. It's also surprisingly long; you have to go through it twice to do everything.
Dawn of the New World is one of the few full fledged RPGs released on the Wii (or any home console for that matter), however it's an escort title by definition so it doesn't have the pedigree the other Tales games have. Still, it's a Tales game which puts it above a lot of others by default, and has a lot to offer, and does take some steps to forward the series...even if it is a gaiden.
