I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired of the label 'casual' just because I play games on the Wii or DS.
I'll grant the name of hardcore to the PS3 and X360ers.
But I think that the Wii and DS players need a new label.
The one I'm leaning towards is NRP. Near Reality Players.
Reality??? Nintendo? Now here me out.
Which have you ever done more in real life? Gone bowling or played baseball (Wii Sports) or shot up a bunch of xxx (take your pick of FPS opponents)? And I'm not even saying it's real life. But I've done a bit of brawling and ridden a go-kart, and never once beaten up a prostitute. But moving about whether in full swing (Wii Remote) or with a stylus (DS), seems closer to reality than just a combination of buttons.
Any other NR players out there? Or what terms would you like to be called other than casual?
