Good post. I especially agree with these two statements, especially the latter. My parents, for example, havent been into videogames since the NES. They are not necessarily my cup of tea anymore, but there is no denying that they, almost solely, once again expanded the gaming market like no other company can.

I think Sony's fall has been a result of several things: their terrible approach to this generation; Microsoft's aggressiveness; and Nintendo's gamble as well as its insight.

However, like you, I still prefer my PS3 to other consoles. But, this is my least favourite generation so far anyhow, so take that for what it's worth (I know we're only part way, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing).
