Hey who called Red Hat the closest Linux has ever come to being user friendly?

Does Ubuntu not exist alluva sudden?

Neither of those are very user friendly. I would try either Xandros or openSUSE. openSUSE has the easiest system management of any Linux distro by far. Xandros is designed to be very user friendly.

Man, I know absolutely nothing about how to run Linux and Ubuntu was smooth like a dream for me in 7.04. It was actually a pretty nice Windows replacement!

Each person has their own experiences. I actually had to stop installing Ubuntu on people's PCs because I was getting so many complaints. Not everyone was having problems. However, I switched to using openSUSE 10.3 and then to 11.0 and I have almost no more complaints. I forgot to install all of the codecs for someone once, and Adobe Acrobat on another.
