This is really not a position I like at all. They shouldn't have to release patch after patch... they should get it right the first time. Some of us do not have access to high speed internet and can't get these patches. What if a game is completely unplayable due to a glitch (or unfinishable)? What do we do now? Hell, poor quality control on games (remember ET the Game? was one of the causes of the 1980s gaming market crash, because consumers became weary of any game that was released.

If you can't download the patch, then you can't play online multiplayer anyways, so it doesn't matter in your case.

Also, there have been glitches in gaming since forever (heck, even the beloved 8-bit and 16-bit era games had some pretty awful glitches, hence why the new wiiware megaman game had them in there as a joke).
It's only an issue now because of the internet (people can complain in large groups) and because of multiplayer (which I admit is an issue).
I'm all for "making sure the game is right the first time" but you can't say that patches creates issues that are entirely isolated to this generation. Can't blame developers for losers glitch bitching (gotta love entourage) to gain an unfair advantage.

I understand there are going to be glitches... but it has come to the point where most games are rushed, then are almost immediately stated that a patch is on the way or in the works. I use to play The Sims and The Sims 2 games and I swear every expansion pack had patches... and a few patches had patches. Honestly... and some of them were just terrible bugs. Consoles are suppose to be semi immuned to the crashing problems that alot of PC games are plagued with (or any bug that is caused by hardware), because consoles are the same hardware.
I just hate the mentality "oh let's just get it out there and patch it later." Right.

This just has to do with how difficult it was to figure this glitch out in the first place. The Castle map was available in the beta and no one uncovered this. They did uncover the Roundhouse glitch and fixed it by the time they shipped out the discs. It's not a major deal, and I'm sure Treyarch will be happy to fix it as they've been very receptive this entire time.
