i had a 42" 1080p plasma that broke (under warrenty) so i exchanged it for a 50" 1080i plasma. i read that one couldn't notice the difference between 1080p and 1080i unless you get to sizes closer to 55".
if that's true then i'd suspect that the difference between bluray and upscaled on dvds shouldn't be that noticable on a smaller screen.
personally, i haven't watched any up-scaled dvd's recently or even have copies of the same material on both formats... so why am i posting again?
