Personally, when I played the Warhawk beta on my buddy's PS3, I would have rated it at an 8-8.5 if it didn't have the bugs (which I'm sure the final version doesn't). This is my point about all reviews: read them, see what people have to say, but don't assume that they necessarily feel the same way about the game that you will. That doesn't mean you need to call reviewers fanboys, but just understand that reviewers are people too, and they are reviewing based on opinions. They aren't computers, and they aren't flawlessly analyzing a game's value. They do the best they can, but don't take any single review as fact, ever, no matter who wrote it. That's my thoughts on this. |
I'll say "Future Tactics" was one of my favorite Gamecube games and it's got a metcritic review of 63.
Turned based FPS/adventure game? Who could resist? Sure most of the characters sucked (cept the british rabit) but it was a fun game all around. Pretty inovative too with the ducking behind cover, firing, but making sure you have enough room do duck back behind the building... that and going from area to area to mislead enemies and send down grenade launcher attacks on them...
Only things missing were better AI and a better characters. They still have loads of those games for all three systems at my Toys R Us for like 5 dollars.
