Hey guys, I couldn’t get back on the net yesterday but we got

360 = 29 / 7votes = 4.142
PS3 = 27.8 / 7votes = 3.971
Wii = 18.6 / 6votes = 3.1

As a per cent of all the votes

360 = 37%
PS3 = 35.4%
Wii = 27.6%

If I may, based on the results and your comments, I would conclude that owners of HD consoles favour the offerings of the 360 slightly over those of the ps3. But it’s obvious that owners of all three value their Wii experience less. When looking at this information in relation to the current gen console sales the HD market is winning over the low resolution market of the wii and it shows that users of HD consoles have little regard for last generation offerings with updated controls (with the exception of some ground breaking games in terms of interactivity). What will be interesting to discover is if you’d still be playing your HD games if they didn’t have amazing graphics with screens full of endless detail.

So the market favours HD graphics (slightly) 41.04M HD consoles to Wii’s 38.15M and based on this small survey’s results you ‘could’ conclude that gamers who have purchased all three have gone away with better impressions of the HD experience.

I for one have been swayed over to the HD and have no interest in purchasing games for the wii unless they were exclusives made by Nintendo them selves. (The barrier was price, but now the consoles are significantly cheaper their viable entertainment options.) But in the last 3 weeks of owning HD consoles I’ve purchased more HD games then I have wii games since I got the Wii on launch day.

Although Nintendo’s Wii strategy is paying off for them as a singular company it’s interesting to look at the market from the high def verse standard def perspective and get some insight from people as to their preferences. Wii might have huge sales numbers but it might not have the customer satisfaction that the HD gaming market brings.

P.S.
I am aware that I am making assumptions based on little data so don’t rip me about it, I’m purely speculating that if the information gathered were true across the world then these conclusions would be fair.
